Alii Kula Lavender Farm in Maui Hawaii 

When you think of Maui, you may think of beaches and waterfalls. Nature is vast and diverse in Maui with so many ways to explore it. The beaches in Maui are amazing, but I knew there was much more to see.

One morning when the rain and cloudy skies set in, it made it easier to skip a day at the beach and do something different.

I set out for Upcountry in the hills where the scenery is much different than the coast, but no less beautiful. My first stop was Alii Kula Lavender Farms. They have a beautiful garden and lavender fields in the hills with a beautiful view.  It felt quiet and serene in the gardens and the only sounds were the rain drops and birds chirping.

Exploring their garden, you will see lavender, bright flowers, succulents and lush plants. I enjoyed taking my time and strolling down the paths to discover flowers I have never seen before.

Admission and tour is $10 but it was free the day of my visit because of the rain. Yay I like free! Lol.

The tropical rain was refreshing and you could see the rain drops settle on the flowers and plants.

Colorful Succulents

They have a gift shop with lavender products of all kinds. If you love coffee like I do, they offer the most delicious fresh lavender scones with lavender coffee. You MUST try the Lilikoi Jam on the scone. Lilikoi is similar to passion fruit .I pretty much slathered jam all over my scone since it was so good!

I spent an hour or so at Alii Kula Lavender Farms and then continued on the journey through upcountry on the most amazing drive to the south of the island. You can read more about that journey here.
